Description
E3G is an independent think tank working to build a safe climate for all.
Working closely with partners in government, politics, business, civil society, science, the media, public interest foundations and elsewhere, E3G aims to build a climate safe world by aligning different forces in society to create the laws and institutions necessary to drive change. They build cross-sectoral coalitions to achieve carefully defined outcomes, chosen for their capacity to leverage change and work to develop and shape policy initiatives and engage the required political processes to deliver them effectively.
We are now seeking a Chief Programme Officer (CPO) to join our executive leadership team. As deputy to the CEO, the CPO will shape and execute E3G’s strategic vision, ensuring programmes align with our mission to accelerate climate action. They will oversee the development, management, and delivery of initiatives, ensuring efficiency, impact, and compliance with funder expectations.
The CPO will lead programme design and execution, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. They will drive strategic planning, oversee budgeting and staffing, and use data-driven insights to improve outcomes. A key part of this role is strengthening partnerships and expanding funding sources, working alongside the CEO and fundraising teams to cultivate donor relationships and secure new funding.
This role requires a strategic and results-driven leader with significant executive leadership experience in programme management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential.
